Stron Smart STS Remote Prepaid single phase keypad electricity meter

STE18-A is a STS (standard transfer specification) compliant, keypad type, prepaid electricity meter that can automatically turn on or shut off depending on the credit remains. It can be top up with our own vending system developed by Stron’s eminent R&D team, Stronpay vending software directly and communicate with automatic metering infrastructure(AMI) system via LORA-RF or PLC module.

With IP54 waterproof ingress protection rating, the electricity meter can be installed in house or even pole outside where away from users. The STE18-A’s insert programming support remote connection and disconnection, when there is no credit remain, the meter will shut off immediately and once recharged through corresponding 20 digits TOKEN and press enter button, the electricity meter would switch on. If real time clock chip and battery applied, the meter can show your local time as well, generally the battery life span is about 8 years and easy to replace. Utilities or electricity companies can set Time of Use(TOU) tariff price as request, e.g. during one time interval it charges 1 USD for 1 Kwh and another 2 USD etc. which can help utilities and companies take reasonable and profitable manage and control on the meters and power consumption.

The communication we prefer apply Lora-RF together with Stron Data Concentrator, which can collect Lora-RF signal in about 1km for up to 300 pcs electricity meters and send the data to main server through GPRS, so that a local Sim card is needed, and the data consumption is no more than 1 mb each day, nearly no worry about it.
